The decision by the Queensland government to try to implement its compulsory fluoridation of all water supplies smacks of dictatorship and total disregard for the public's democratic rights. This is not even a question of what the majority want, but rather what the rights of the individual are.
If members of the public are persuaded by the opinions of this medical expert 'Mr. Beatty', then they may choose to use fluoride in the form of toothpaste or lolly water or whatever they want, but if I choose not to use fluoride then I should have the right to sue Mr. Beatty and his representatives if
they force it upon me. My argument will be even stronger if the dire consequences of bone destruction occur in my body later in life as a consequence of the fluoride. Dr. Michael Tait
