Comments about the movie
"Ms. Brackett does an excellent job exposing the Faustian bargain struck between the food and beverage industry and the pharmaceutical cartel." -Bruce D. Deutsch, D.C.
"Terrific! It could certainly change the country for the better"
- Erskine Radio, Phoenix
"Sweet Misery and Sweet Remedy: Two important, must-see documentaries" - Healthquest Live, Philadelphia
"For those wishing to become more familiar with the aspartame menace, a good starting point would be the two hour-long documentary films (available as DVDs) produced by Cori Brackett: Sweet Misery and Sweet Remedy"
- New Mexico Senator Jerry Ortiz y Pino
Sweet Remedy reveals:
• An unsettling link between aspartame and genetically modified foods.
• How Monsanto and its star aspartame executive hit a brick wall.
• What did Cori do to get better?
• What can one do to minimize damage from exposure? How about healing?
Now accepting orders for "Sweet Remedy":
• What happened after aspartame was approved?
• What happens when people in the public spotlight start getting sick?
• A thorough history and examination of MSG.
• A more definitive link between aspartame and Multiple Sclerosis.
• What happened with Stevia?
• How could it be that so many diseases are linked to excitotoxicity?
• Why do so-called experts get away with lying to us in the media?
• Exactly how dangerous are these foods to children?
In the sequel to "Sweet Misery: A Poisoned World" learn:
• Do children "at risk" really need to go on ritallin when the school's doctor prescribes it?
• How can a healthy society prevail when the food supply can no longer be trusted?
"Sweet Remedy: The World Reacts" is a documentary of personal, legal and political struggles in the face of an adulterated food supply. In "Sweet Misery", Cori Brackett surmises, " the institutions designed to protect our food supply have failed us."
What's next? "Sweet Remedy" is a candid look at people across the country working to improve our food supply and to heal and detoxify those already poisoned.
Aspartame was the centerpiece case study in "Sweet Misery", so we pick up where approval left off to further examine lives left in the wake of a toxin deemed "non-existent". In addition, inadequate food safety requirements give birth to numerous problems. We identify these dangers and examine the disparity between what authorities might present as "truth" and what evidence otherwise suggests.
We expand our scope to include genetically modified (GM) foods, monosodium glutamate (MSG) in all its forms, fluoride and other toxic additives. Jeffrey Smith, author of “Seeds of Deception”, gives a comprehensive history of Monsanto’s aggressively deceptive marketing regarding GM foods. Jack Samuels of Truth in Labeling identifies the prevailing different forms of MSG, especially in the seemingly innocuous subcategories of spices and natural and artificial flavors.
In Sweet Remedy, the gulf between truth and scientific evidence is addressed by Professor Noam Chomsky who also reminds us of a disturbing legal commitment of companies to their shareholders. Any sort of deception that is legal and enhances sales is an act of fulfilling this legal commitment.
Sheldon Rampton, co-author of some of the most unflinching accounts of fraud and deception (Trust Us, We’re Experts and Toxic Sludge is Good for You) provides a detailed account of the mechanisms by which people are regularly deceived. Himself an “expert” on the workings of the PR
industry and the deceptions that large corporations can inflict upon a trusting public, Rampart reminds us that things are not always as they appear and that the motivations of large corporations are generally not in the public’s best interest.
While aspartame was the single focus in "Sweet Misery: A Poisoned World", "Sweet Remedy" demonstrates that a corrupt flagship regulatory agency has given birth to numerous toxins in our food supply.
A closer examination of the U.S. corporate power structure unveils a two-fold approach to manipulating the public. First, by attempting to shape public opinion and, second, by affecting an individual's ability to discern PR from the truth. Hundreds of millions of dollars are spent selling neuro-toxic food additives to the public. In the United States and through each nation within its global corporate grasp, maintaining a healthy mind and body is an act of civil disobediance.
Ultimately, healing has become the path of resistance for informed individuals improving their health. We interview a host of MD's and Natural Health practioners to gain the clearest possible perspective for a path to recovery. Perhaps the sweetest remedy this film offers is the hope provided by witnessing a variety of groups as they withstand the confusion, casualties and obstacles involved with taking control of their food and their health.
Includes Dr. Russell Blaylock, Dr. Joseph Mercola, Jim Turner, ESQ, Dr. Michael Ruff, Dr. Candace Pert, Noam Chomsky, Sheldon Rampton, Jeffrey Smith, Jack Samuels, Terrol Dew Johnson, Dr. Janet Starr Hull, Spice Williams-Crosby, Larry Hagman, David Getoff, Howard Glasser, Sally Fallon, Robert Scott Bell, Arthur Evangelista, Betty Martini, and many more.

ACTIVISM - People Making a Difference
The Tree’s shadow goes, where the tree has never been …
Hi Cori
The strangest thing just happened to me a little while ago this evening.
You know I live in a very rural, old farming community inthe western Carolina mountains, right ?
Well, there is this little tiny family owned Pizzeria just north of town (Weaverville) and I was really “jonesing” for an eggplant parmesan sandwich.
Former FDA Investigator, Arthur Evangelista
So, I took “Chevy” (my dog) in the Jeep, and rode up to this little spot (best pizza in town, by the way) to order my dinner.
There is this really cute, little old lady who waits on people behind the counter,
sweetest thing, she is…
…anyway, while waiting for my order, I sat outside with Chevy for a bit, then came in, and met the cook (for the first time), …he was standing in the kitchen where we could see each other.
I have sunglasses and my hat, and we were talking about dogs (he’s an owner, too, and so was the only other customer there).
…then he says to me, “Hey, weren’t you in a movie, and you gave a talk in front
of a fireplace ?” I said, “well, yes, it was an interview for - - -“ The cook interrupts me, with eyes real wide and a big smile on his face… He says: ”SWEET MISERY, right ?” I said yes !
Then he starts talking about how he warns everyone about aspartame. I’m thinking,
Oh my God, this is sooo cool. I then tell him that you (Cori, sweetheart) have made a sequel called, Sweet Remedy. He was so happy that I come to HIS place to get my pizza.
I drove straight home, enjoyed my dinner, and thought of sharing this wonderful experience with you.
Yes, Cori, the “Tree’s shadow goes, where the tree has never been” …
So you see, you, my dear, and every one who you included in this, has made a wonderful, long lasting impact on the population.
This is the second time this has happened. The first time, was in the middle of “nowhere” South Carolina”, off Old Cherokee Highway (Rt. 11) in a little tiny store I stopped in.
I just wanted to say that you are indeed a very special person, and that God has enabled you to save so many lives.
Thank you, Cori…..You are so appreciated.
The Mountain Man…

This is a great way for all of us to make a positive change in our own communities and evenually national and international health trends.
Our European representative Dan Aardema, pictured left, has been invited to speak at an upcoming hearing in the EU parliament in Brussels early next year. This hearing will address food safety regulations and will also include the health issues related to aspartame.
Dan will be showing footage from our films Sweet Misery and Sweet Remedy with personal testimonies of aspartame victims. Speakers at the hearing will also include politicians, independent scientists (i.e. not on the payroll of the food industry) and medical professionals.
Dan Aardema helps make the air safe by promoting awareness of the dangers of aspartame.

Super Activist, Betty Martini, Takes New Zealand by Storm
Tireless Anti-Aspartame Activist and founder of Mission Possible, International, Betty Martini, stops at nothing to spread the word about the neurotoxin, even if it means traveling halfway across the globe. When Betty learned of Kiwi Abby Cormack's publicized ordeal with aspartame in chewing gum, she immediately flew to New Zealand to offer her assistance in delivering MPI's message of the harmful effects of aspartame. Here she is at a New Zealand Green Party panel discussion about the artificial sweetener.

Aspartame survivor Ermelle Martinez was told ten years ago by her doctor that she was showing signs of menopause but at that time she was only 34. That was before she developed two non-cancerous breast tumors and received a diagnosis of multiple sclerosis. Her doctor advised that she stop eating and drinking everything containing aspartame and to stop adding NutraSweet to her morning tea. The result: Martinez says she feels better and blames aspartame for her misery.
We had the opportunity to speak with Ermelle, who educates the children she teaches about the dangers of aspartame. [Click Here] to see an exerpt.
Virginia High School student Katie Clarke chose for her science project to experiment with aspartame and its effects on the heart beats of the daphnia fly.
Katie compared the heart-rates of an unexposed daphnia, a "sugared" daphnia and an "aspartame laced" daphnia. She discovered a significant "jump" in the heartrate of the daphia fly exposed to aspartame. Receiving an "A" for her work, Katie suggests further research is needed to learn more about aspartame and it's effects on the heart. Sound reasoning, Katie! Here's her powerpoint presentation.
John Baum: Host of "Mission Possible Radio" in the nation's capital, John Baum secured the url, www.aspartame.com. It immediately feeds to his popular site, www.aspartamekills.com! That is why you see in search engines, "for credible information on aspartame" see www.aspartame.org. That is ironic, because it should say "for the aspartame industry's position on aspartame..." As Noam Chomsky says, "Lying is a part of free trade." John became involved with the aspartame industry during her mother's illness. Check it out.
Stephen Fox: Whether its seeking a ban from the Environmental Improvement Board of New Mexico, or introducing a bill through the New Mexico Senate with Senator Ortiz y Piño, few others have been as tenacious as Stephen Fox.
The removal of aspartame from the food supply has been Stephen's calling since the mid to late 90's. His actions have effectively catapulted the aspartame issue into the national spotlight and have required Monsanto and industry-funded hacks to send teams of lawyers raining down with threats of massive amounts of paperwork and lawsuits to entangle New Mexico- and not all New Mexicans are waivering. To this day, in spite all that the industry is throwing at them, New Mexico legislatures are still debating a statewide ban on the substance.
In this clip, Stephen Fox discusses his preference for keeping the bill in play.
Aspartame Awareness Comes to France

people how to read food labels in France.
Pictured at Right, Corinne has booths at different fairs around France (this picture was taken at a fair in
Beziérs). Corinne is the author of a book listing food additives, their safety or danger and if it is known.
The book is entitled, "DANGER - additifs alimentaires: Le guide indispensible pour ne plus vous empoisonner".
This essential guide is small enough to put in a purse or back pocket and sells for 6 Eur. It is aimed at European food consumers.
