Happy 137th birthday to the Italian Republic!!

Thursday, September 20, is the 137th anniversary (1870-2007) of the liberation of Rome from the Jesuit-Papal tyranny....It is also the anniversary of the end of the Pope's temporal dominion and the unification of Italy. A year later on July 1, 1871, the Italian government moved from Florence to Rome and the following day King Victor Emmanuel entered Rome.
