* The third highest cause of deaths in the US is what is termed "iatrogenic", which means "induced in a patient by a physician's activity, manner, or therapy." This accounts for an estimated 225,000 deaths per year which is about 10% of total deaths from all causes including old age. Of these, 12,000 deaths result from unnecessary surgery. The highest cause of deaths in the US is heart disease (725,000) and the 2nd highest is cancer (549,000). Both of these were almost unheard of at the beginning of the twentieth century.
* 180,000 deaths a year occur due to adverse reactions to prescription medications. By comparison, general accidents in life account for 98,000 per annum. This includes 42,000 from car accidents, 120 from airline crashes**, 90 from being struck by lightning** and 5 from Anthrax (in 2001). 15,500 die from murders and 20,000 from flu or its complications.

* Despite all the media hype about how good the US medical system is and how we're winning the war against cancer, these statistics tell a very different story:
According to the 2001 World Health Organization report, "World Health Report Health Systems: Improving Performance", the U.S. ranks 37th out of 191 countries. A commentary published in the July 26, 2000 issue of the Journal of the American Medical Association notes that in a comparison of the top 13 industrial countries based on 16 health indicators, the U.S. ranked on average 12th. The countries included in the study were, in order from the top-ranked (best health care) to the lowest-ranked, as follows: Japan, Sweden, Canada, France, Australia, Spain, Finland, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, Denmark, Belgium, the U.S., and Germany. Of the 13 countries compared, only Germany ranked lower overall than the U.S. In fact, the U.S. ranked dead last for three indicators. These were low-birth-weight percentages, neonatal mortality and infant mortality overall, and years of potential life lost. These rankings do not paint a picture of a country that has the world's best health care.
Is it true that we're winning the war against cancer like we're asked to believe, after the massive research funding backed by the government?

1992 is the last year for which data is currently available from Vital Statistics. Independent analysis by the CA Journal for Cancer Clinicians, Jan 97, put the 1993 death rate at 220 per 100,000. A 40% increase in cancer deaths per capita in the last 4 decades is hardly "winning the war against cancer."
* An estimated 2 million people a year (11% of those admitted) catch infections in hospitals that they didn't have when they were admitted and approximately 90,000 of them die from these infections. An approximate list in order of likelihood is: urinary tract infections (34%), surgical site infections (17%), respiratory infections especially pneumonia (13%), blood infections/bacteraemia (14%), skin (especially burns), gastrointestinal tract infections, and central nervous system infections.
* About 2,216,000 annual hospitalizations result in adverse drug reactions and these account for 106,000 deaths annually.
* As Dr. Robert S. Mendelsohn demonstrates in his book "Confessions of a Medical Heretic", when hospitals or doctors go on strike, the death rate goes down and when they go back to work, the death rates rise again.

Food allergies are on the increase and the number of children affected has more than doubled in the past ten years. Yet simple precautions could significantly cut the death rate. This week’s documentary, ‘When Food Kills’ is a wake up call to the rising danger of food allergies.
It started out as just a normal day for Sophia Neou. Her seven year old son was at play camp; fun and games were the order of the day. Then she received a phone call from a teacher crying, telling her “He’s turning blue and has stopped breathing.” The paramedic witnessed his rapid decline. “He developed shortness of breath. He got very anxious and then his airways started to swell and that’s when he passed out.” When the helicopter arrived William was within 30 seconds of dying but they managed to bring him back. Other families are not so lucky. “There’s a big hole in our family and his name is Johnny,” laments Cheryl Whitburn. Her 15 year old son died six years ago after accepting some rice from friends that had satay sauce on it. The tiny amount of peanut in the sauce was all that was needed to trigger a reaction. While cases like this are rare, the incidents of severe food allergies are increasing. “In the past ten to twenty years, the incidence of severe food allergies has doubled or tripled,” stated Dr Alyson Kakakios from Westmead Children’s hospital.No one knows why allergies are on the increase. Scientists still don’t know exactly what causes them. But it’s generally thought that a combination of genetic predisposition and environmental factors make some children more susceptible than others.
“Environmental influences are actually driving the immune systems of young children down the allergic pathway,” explains Dr Alyson Kakiois. Children aren’t getting exposure to the right bacteria which help their immune systems develop and protect them from allergies.With no available ‘cure’ for allergies, parents have to strictly manage their children’s condition. But a dangerous lack of knowledge among many doctors means they are often given the wrong information. Three year old Chantelle Markham nearly died after having a severe allergic reaction to egg. But when her doctor was told what had happened, he just said “You fed her egg too early. Feed her it again in six months,” recalls Chantelle’s mother. Luckily, her parents sought a second opinion. Other children have had their allergies misdiagnosed as croup.Anaphylaxis occurs when an allergun such as egg or peanut is ingested. “The immune system goes into overdrive.
Antibodies believe the allergen is an enemy invader, and they trigger a major defensive reaction, releasing masses of chemicals into the tissues to try and protect the body, causing inflamation,” explains Dr Alyson Kakiois. When the throat becomes inflamed an allergy is transformed from an irritation, to a serious life threat. Dr Jane Peake likens the effect to an avalanche “with the snow coming down the mountain, and you don’t know when the snow is going to stop”. Once it approaches the village at the bottom “there comes a point at which there is almost nothing that you can do.”The legacy of allergies is often heartbreaking. The reaction is quick and unexpected, able to take away loved ones within minutes and ensure shock and grief for those that are left behind. Keah and Caitlin never got to know their mum before she suffered from a reaction. She is still alive, but has not spoken in ten years, is fed from a tube, and lives in a nursing home. Her husband “thought she was going to die. And now I wish she had.” Tragedies such as this will not be averted until people wake up to the dangers that the food they eat can pose.
Comments - 1. leeshawn (1 year ago) - My wife is anaphylaxic to MSG and quinine and has been since her early 20’s, she is in her late 30’s now. She was lucky enough that when she experienced her first anaphylaxic shock a nurse was at the same table and responded immediately, and as luck would have it, there were paramedics across the road. She did not have an Epi-Pen at this stage. Subsequently, she was referred to the ‘right’ doctors who were familiar with anaphylaxis and was given an Epi-Pen. But, prior to this she had suffered many chronic fatigue and flu like symptoms. In hindsight it was he body telling her there is something wrong and that the glutamic acid was building up. We met about 14 years ago in the UK and at this stage she was doing her own research into MSG and more so Exotoxins – see the book: ‘Excitotoxins: The Taste That Kills’, the author is Russell L. Blaylock, featured in this documentary. I have only witnessed one of her anaphylaxic reactions and this was from quinine. Fortunately this subsided and she was very ill for about a week afterwards. We now have a lovely little boy of 21 months and so far he has not displayed any food sensitivities. Lucky for him and me, mom is an excellent cook. I couldn’t begin to imagine the heart ache of seeing your child experience an anaphylaxic shock never mind dying from it. Once they have established the norm: that seed can be owned as their property, royalties can be collected. We will depend on them for every seed we grow of every crop we grow. If they control seed, they control food, they know it -- it's strategic. It's more powerful than bombs. It's more powerful than guns. This is the best way to control the populations of the world. The story starts in the White House, where Monsanto often got its way by exerting disproportionate influence over policymakers via the "revolving door". One example is Michael Taylor, who worked for Monsanto as an attorney before being appointed as deputy commissioner of the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in 1991. While at the FDA, the authority that deals with all US food approvals, Taylor made crucial decisions that led to the approval of GE foods and crops. Then he returned to Monsanto, becoming the company's vice president for public policy.
Thanks to these intimate links between Monsanto and government agencies, the US adopted GE foods and crops without proper testing, without consumer labeling and in spite of serious questions hanging over their safety. Not coincidentally, Monsanto supplies 90 percent of the GE seeds used by the US market. Monsanto's long arm stretched so far that, in the early nineties, the US Food and Drugs Agency even ignored warnings of their own scientists, who were cautioning that GE crops could cause negative health effects. Other tactics the company uses to stifle concerns about their products include misleading advertising, bribery and concealing scientific evidence.

Video Documentary: Conspiracy of Silence - 55 Minutes 13 Seconds - Quality Of This Film Is Poor But Is Still Essential Viewing - Conspiracy of Silence is a 56 minute documentary film detailing an alleged child sex scandal that involved many children from Nebraska institution, Boys Town and Lawrence King, or Lawrence "Larry" King. The organized child sex parties implicated the Reagan and Bush White House during the 1980s. King was the ringleader of the sex ring which had links to other fellow political conservatives in Washington D.C. including Republican lobbyist Craig J. Spence, Sen. Elizabeth Dole's staff, along with members of the financial elite of Nebraska.
Larry King was judged to have been responsible for curtailing Paul Bonacci's civil rights and was ordered to pay him $1 million as compensation. The documentary was produced over the course of ten months by British corporation Yorkshire Television for broadcast in the US on May 3, 1994 on the Discovery Channel.
However, the documentary was never aired. This is because Congress threatened more restrictive television laws. Most copies of the finished product were destroyed by parties unknown, but a mostly completed work print of the documentary was sent anonymously to former State Senator Nebraska attorney John DeCamp a year after all copies were supposedly destroyed. The movie can be found with various file sharing programs such as BitTorrent or through the Freenet. Adherents to the movie's outlook claim that the case has never been fully brought to justice and that many of the investigators and witnesses have subsequently died under suspicious circumstances. There was, however a small victory in the amount of one million dollars to victim Paul A. Bonacci.
"Conspiracy of Silence" by Britain's Yorkshire TV -scheduled for the Discovery Channel on May 3, 1994 but cancelled and never publicly aired until now on the web, includes much of the Franklin Committee's video interviews with the child victims.
The Omaha Herald led the media vilification of the kids. The FBI threatened the alleged victims with perjury prosecution if they testified, and after 2 recanted their stories, the remaining witness was found guilty of perjury and sent to prison. After the State's lead investigator Gary Caradori and his young son were killed in the unexplained breakup of his plane in midair the investigation died as other victims refused to talk or recanted their video testimony in court. This documentary picks up the pieces.
Then-Nebraska State Senator John DeCamp, who continues to be the kids' lawyer, pro bono, wrote the best-selling The Franklin Coverup, now out in an updated edition. The former CIA director Bill Colby ambiguously acknowledged to John DeCamp that the scenario described is real, and not long thereafter Colby turned up dead under suspicious circumstances.

Conspiracy of Silence, a documentary listed for viewing in TV Guide Magazine was to be aired on the Discovery Channel, on May 3, 1994. This documentary exposed a network of religious leaders and Washington politicians who flew children to Washington D.C. for sex orgies.
Many children suffered the indignity of wearing nothing but their underwear and a number displayed on a piece of cardboard hanging from their necks when being auctioned off to foreigners in Las Vegas, Nevada and Toronto, Canada.
At the last minute before airing, unknown congressmen threatened the TV Cable industry with restrictive legislation if this documentary was aired. Almost immediately, the rights to the documentary were purchased by unknown persons who had ordered all copies destroyed.
A copy of this videotape was furnished anonymously to former Nebraska state senator and attorney John De Camp who made it available to retired FBI Agent Ted L. Gunderson. While the video quality is not top grade, this tape is a blockbuster in what is revealed by the participants involved.

We have started recording songs, with others, that express the themes of Love For Life. We have over 100 songs to record. A few rough demos have already been used as the soundtrack on the first "Dream of Life" video.
Also, everything we, the Cristian family, have gone through, from bank fraud and the theft of the family home to death threats and attempts on Arthur's life, is documented in the Quick User Guide too. If you, the reader, are prepared to put the effort in, you will comprehend the extent to which we have all been tricked into becoming slaves, giving up our uniqueness and our full-responsibility for life and destroying everything of life to the point where life is in danger of dying out completely. Obviously this is not our view because of what we have stated above. We do not hate anyone, whatever religion they follow. We are always open to talk to any religious leader or politician and meet with any judge, member of the Bar, experts, academics, educators etc to share the remedy we offer that heals all the divisions between MAN and MAN, and MAN and EARTH.
Today, a representative of the New South Wales Jewish Board of Deputies is threatening to close the website down, because they have decided it is anti - Jewish and that we promote racism. What has the New South Wales Jewish Board of Deputies done to end the suffering in the world? Can they show that they are concerned with the suffering of ALL men, women and children AND ARE SEEN TO BE DOING SOMETHING ABOUT IT or are they only concerned with Jewish affairs? If so, they, along with all the other religions that only care for their own, are part of the problem, not part of the solution. The man who rang Arthur today was only concerned with Jewish affairs; he was not interested in our intentions or in anybody else, just as most Christians, Muslims, Sikhs, Catholics, etc, are only interested in their own. While we separate our lives into groups, dividing our lives from others with rules, regulations, rituals, procedures, conditions and contracts, we will never solve our problems.
No matter what we in the Western World Civilisation of Commerce have been promised by our politicians, religious leaders, scientists, educators, philosophers, etc, for the past two hundred years, all we have seen is ever-increasing destruction of men, women and children and Earth. None of the so-called experts and leaders we have been taught to rely on are coming up with a solution and none of them are taking full-responsibility for the fact that they can't handle the problem. All religious books talk about end times full of destruction and suffering but why do we have to follow this program when there is an alternative to hatred, mayhem and death? Why are our leaders following the program of destruction and death rather than exploring the do no harm alternatives? It seems that any mainstream politician, priest or academic are only interested in supporting the RULES OF THE DIVIDE, that maintain the haves and the have nots. For 200+ years, 99% of the world population have been so trained to pass on their responsibility for their lives, others and Earth, that the 1% of the population that make up the leaders of the rest of us are making all the decisions leading to the destruction of all of us and Earth. Let's not forget the education system that brainwashes the 99% of the population that we are free and have equal rights while, in fact, we are feathering the nests of those at the top.
At the root of all our problems is self-centredness, an unwillingness nurtured by the Establishment that keeps us concerned only with our own needs rather than the needs of others around us and Earth. Instead of creating and releasing acts of love for those around us as gifts to benefit them and Earth, we take, take and take, until there is nothing left. The whole point of the Love for Life website is to show people the root of all our problems and to share the remedy. If the New South Wales Jewish Board of Deputies can, after careful examination of our work, prove that anything we are saying is wrong, we will be happy to accept their proof.
